Intellectual
Property
Relative to intellectual property, TPR works
with customers under one of three models. The approach chosen is
whatever works best in the relationship. The approaches are as
follows:
- If the customer pays for exclusive
development, the customer owns the IP
- If exclusivity is not important, the IP
can be shared by the customer and TPR
- In some cases, TPR may retain IP rights
and extend a license with royalties to the customer.
The approach taken is decided in advance of
the proposed engagement.
