Project Management
At TPR, three top-tier individuals are assigned to each project:
a TPR executive, the program manager and the account manager who is
assigned to work with the customer.
TPR's high-level program managers are responsible for the overall
success of a customer's project. They coordinate project efforts
among engineering groups, supervise supplier relationships, track
deliverables and schedules, and provide an engineering interface to
cross-functional teams within TPR and with the customer's internal
teams. Our goal is to achieve tight-knit, close communication with
our customers.
Project management requires a deep knowledge of design and the
know-how to effectively integrate the complexity of cross-discipline
product development as well as the creativity and know-how to
properly phase a project. TPR's program managers can oversee a
program from concept design to finished product and product support.
The following demonstrates some of the components that must be
considered for successful program management.
- Conceptual design
- Technical strategy development
- Competitive performance valuation
- Product feasibility studies
- Recommendation and risk assessment
- Industrial design and human factors (ID/HF)
- Architecture and specification development
- Mechanical design
- Software, firmware, electronic and subsystem design
- Third-party integration
